Description

The rigid cage strander by Frigeco brand is the machine par excellence for manufacturing conductors for power cables. This strander combines quality, productivity and flexibility compared to other stranding methods.

The rigid cage stranding and screening machine allows for the production of conductors used in aerial cables, low/medium/ high voltage cables, submarine cables, wind power cables, Milliken segments, ACRS cables and screening.

Key Benefits
The pintles are mechanically locked with a mechanical safety bar and redundant electronic safety to provide a fail-safe system even in the event of a power or air loss
An automatic bobbin diameter control feature lets the machine speed up when the rotating mass decreases which increases the average speed of the rigid stranding line
UPS and Dynamic Regenerative Drive System to bring the entire machine to a controlled stop during a power failure without product damage
Rigid base under each cage reduces the cost of the foundation, ease of installation and guaranteed alignment even on shifting terrain
Special bobbin brake design ensure even wear on the pads and constant tension over the life of the pad
Maintenance free belt drives (No gears to wear out or maintain)
It is possible to incorporate several different bobbin loading devices from the automatic side loader model to the platform model, if space is an issue
