Description

The rigid cage strander is the machine par excellence for manufacturing conductors for power cables. This the strander combines quality, productivity and flexibility compared to other stranding methods.
CES series is built under the Caballé brand, a world leader in rotating machines for energy cables which has supplied more than 350 rigid cage stranders to the top energy cable producers.

The rigid cage stranding and screening machine allows for the production of conductors used in aerial cables, low/medium/ high voltage cables, submarine cables, wind power cables, Milliken segments, ACRS cables and screening.

Key Benefits
The pintles open/close by independent AC motors, to guarantees a perfect holding of the reels and also allows the operator to unload/load one bobbin at a time
It is possible to incorporate several different bobbin loading devices from the automatic side loader model to the platform model, if space is at an issue
Alternative design of pintles with low friction bearings specially designed to process very sensitive products
Possible to pay-off wire diameter up to 7 mm or trapezoidal wire up to 42mm2 for submarine cable applications
An automatic bobbin diameter control feature lets the machine speed up when the rotating mass decreases which increases the average speed of the rigid stranding line
UPS and Dynamic Regenerative Drive System to bring the entire machine to a controlled stop during a power failure without product damage
