The Frigeco tubular strander and closing machine is available in several dedicated machine/line configurations for the different market requirements. It is a planetary strander with back-twist (if required) for producing conductors of high quality and productivity.
The tubular strander and closing machine is designed for the production of LV, petrochemical cables, ACSR and OPGW.
It is ideal for the production of:
- Round compacted strands, copper and aluminum
- Round normal AAC and strands with hard drawn aluminum and copper wires
- OPGW constructions in single and multiple passes
- Sector conductors
- AAAC and ACSR strands up to 19 wires (in one or two passes)
- Steel strands with regular, high and extra high strength wires
- Laying up of flexible strands for flexible rope constructions
- Armoring of optical core elements with steel wires
- Laying up of insulated cores
