The single twist machine is used for a wide range of cables, from low/medium voltage cables to battery and data cables up to solar cables and fiber optics.

The Frigeco single twist machine for laying-up, armouring and screening is designed to be the perfect solution for wide range of products:

  • Concentric flexible and ultra-flexible strands
  • Cu or Al flexible strands and ropes
  • Cabling of special insulated conductors with or without taping
  • Multi-pairs for data and instrumentation cables
  • Screening with copper wires of insulated conductors-cables
  • Armoring with soft steel wires of insulated conductors-cables
  • Data transmission, LAN and fiber optic cables
  • Circuit-sized control cables
  • Unilay cables in one pass and cross-lay cables in multi-pass

If the line is composed of a Single Twist payoff and a Single Twist take-up, they can operate them as two independent lines, using both the Single Twist machines as take-ups, or a single line with a Single -Twist payoff and Single Twist take-up
Directional changes of the cable through low angles, in order to reduce stress on the cable
Bobbin held by two independent movable pintles
