From customer need to the solution
Despite the war actions that take place in Ukraine, their production is running at the usual pace and moreover, they are equipping themselves with new machines to increase their production capacity.
Dniprometyz is one of our loyal customers, which has been relying on MFL Group expertise for its production equipment since 2008.
Thanks to the high standards of the previous experiences with our drawing lines, Dniprometyz asked MFL Group to provide seven new drawing lines (S series) for low and high carbon wire and drawn wire.
The S series is designed and built under the brand Mario Frigerio. Established in 1897, it is one of the oldest and most reliable brands in the field, recognized as the benchmark of made in Italy excellence.
Drawing lines’ highlights
The S series are dry drawing machines, designed for low, medium, high carbon, stainless or zinc and zinc alloys wire. The main features of these machines are:
- From 1 to 12 blocks
- From 760 to 1,200 mm capstan diameter
- Rod inlet Ø up to 24 mm
- High efficiency patented gear box designed and produced by Mario Frigerio
- Patented cooling system guarantees a perfect and controlled heat exchange and wire cooling all around the block
- Pneumatic sensor roller control speed
- No foundation required
Part of the drawing lines were provided with a specific box, which enables Dniprometyz to produce bright wire.

Due to the war in Ukraine, we’ve been unable to send our technicians for the commissioning, but we were committed to provide the best service and make it possible for our client to run MFL Group drawing lines as soon as possible.
With this goal in mind, some technicians from Dniprometyz are welcomed in our Italian production plant and for about a month our production experts took care of their training and made them able to do the lines installation by themselves.
